Battery Charging Myth

A recent study discovered draining laptop batteries is not necessary.

I am sure you have heard that recharging a battery before it has been fully depleted will lower its capacity. It is something I have been told and I believe for years. Most of the lithium-Ion batteries that are in modern laptops and mobile devices do not retain a memory.
Constantly depleting those batteries limits their lifespan. A series of tests were performed and lithium- ion batteries charged more frequently, lasted longer.

The stress of a full depletion and recharge cuts the number of cycles batteries can take.

Remember that the next time someone tells you to let the battery full discharge
